Today we reviewed the Scientific Method with the students. We discussed ways that they could generate more electricity with their MFC. The students were so excited when we brought out the candy canes. Their responsiveness also increased. Do candy canes and participation correlate?
Some of their MFCs have already started producing electricity and the LEDs were blinking. For the ones that have yet to start, we worked with those teams to troubleshoot their MFCs. We hope that we can get all the MFCs to start producing electricity by the Winter Break.
For those MFCs which had been blinking for more than a week, students can start experimenting with different factors to try and increase electricity production.
