Today, we conducted our first virtual Friday meeting for the students at Our Lady of the Evergreens School. During the meeting, the students watched a quick 5-minute video about the origin of microbes where they learned new terms such as eukaryote and prokaryote. On top of that, they learned about chloroplasts in plant cells and how the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. We finished off the meeting with troubleshooting with any teams whose MFCs were not blinking. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience for us. We look forward to our next meeting in 2 weeks!
