Today, we delivered sixteen MFCs to Simons Valley School. Yesterday, the students built the MFCs at the Calgary Mayor’s Environment Expo. Since it was not convenient for the students to bring those MFCs with them while they were visiting the other exhibits at the Expo, we volunteered to deliver it to the school directly.
At the school, Aaron had a chance to speak to the students about the MFC Olympics and answered questions. Besides the MFC units, he also had the MFC Comics and a troubleshooting guide for them. We asked them to complete their mini-logbook for a chance to win the limited 2024 MFC Penguin Patch. Although there is only 3 weeks till the end of the school year, we are hopeful that many of the MFC units will be blinking before we pick those units up from them on the last day of the current school year. In the meantime, we will be checking with them regularly.
Coincidentally, one of the Grade 4 teachers, Ms. Annie Yee, had taught both Aaron and Justin in the past. Ms. Yee was the Science Fair Projects’ coordinating teacher at Hillhurst School when Justin did his project on the MFC. What a small world!
We want to thank Ms. Yee and Ms. Pon for giving us the opportunity to speak to both their classes. Hoping to run the full or mini MFC Olympics at the school next year.
