We attended the Alberta Emerald Awards Ceremony this evening, where Aaron and Justin presented the “Lifetime Achievement Award” to Mr. Bill Wishart.
Bill Wishart has been a steadfast advocate for Alberta’s fish and wildlife, while mentoring a diverse array of professionals, including young women entering the field. And he has done that for over 6 decades, which is two times the combined ages of Aaron and Justin. Bill Wishart: A Lifetime of Contributing to Alberta’s Fish and Wildlife Management Community | Alberta Emerald Foundation Justin and Aaron had the chance to chat with Bill and his family after the presentation, and received some invaluable advice on how they can keep contributing positively and constructively.
At the event, we were also able to meet and learn from many amazing individuals like Ms. Jen Silverthorn (City of Calgary Environmental Management Team), Mr. Michael Cody (Cenovus) and Mr. Jim Stelfox (Alberta Fisheries). They also had a chance to learn about many wonderful organisations like Alberta Envirothon, Circular Rubber Technologies and Explore Edmonton Corporation. There are so many exciting environmental initiatives in our province and so many opportunities to collaborate.
